A trip to the countryside that ends in tragedy. After surviving a car accident that killed her partner, Laura, dazed and, strangely, not warning anyone, finds refuge with Betty, a woman whose husband and son live a few kilometers away. This is the starting point for a story with many interpretations, carried by a superb, mineral and refined direction. German filmmaker Christian Petzold reunites with Paula Beer (also seen with François Ozon and Antonin Baudry) for the fourth time for a fable about second chances.
